BSG Trainees Taster Course Bursaries

The BSG is delighted to offer 10 travel bursaries to attend the BSG Trainees Taster Course.

These are available to both medical students and junior doctors. Each bursary of up to £350 is intended to reimburse the costs of registration, travel, and/or accommodation. Other costs (meals, visas etc.) will not be supported.

Bursaries are open to BSG members only. If successful, we will contact you towards the beginning of October with information on how to claim your bursary.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Bursaries will not be paid for upfront or reimbursed prior to the course. Claims will be reimbursed after the course on submission of your expense claim.
  • Each bursary of up to £350 is intended to reimburse the costs of registration, travel, and/or accommodation only. Other costs (meals, visas etc.) will not be supported.
  • Claims submitted without relevant receipts will not be reimbursed.
  • Before expenses will be reimbursed, successful applicants must provide a brief report outlining what they felt was most valuable about attending the Taster Course, what they enjoyed the most, and how the course will help improve their training. Reports should be emailed to events@bsg.org.uk
  • You must be a BSG member at the time of application to be eligible for a bursary.
  • Expense claims must be submitted within four weeks of the course.
  • Please note that a limited number of bursaries are available and we regret that we cannot offer a bursary to all who apply.
